When you have multiple email addresses you might want to select which sender should be used when sending an email from your iPhone. To do this you can add some ‘dummy’ accounts, with different email addresses or you can use this little trick, which I keep forgetting about myself.

First, copy a ‘comma’ into the iPhone copy-and-paste buffer (see how to copy and paste ), for example from the ‘write new message’ screen:

Copying a comma

Now insert multiple email address into the Settings→Mail,Contacts,Calendars→Account→Address screen. We need to ‘paste’ the comma because the keyboard that’s available on this screen does not contain a comma:

Adding email addresses

You can enter multiple email addresses, each separated by a comma.

The ‘…’ will show there’s more text:

Email addresses entered

Now, compose an email:

Click on Cc/Bcc, From: to get the drop-down of email addresses you entered earlier:
Select the From-address
And there you go! Email away!
